1/25/2024 0 Comments Syberia game guideI say this because if you are sensitive to historical themes of Nazi/Jewish (Vaghens) occupation and the persecution, then I am letting you know now so please bear this in mind. The game's story does touch on issues surrounding WWII, specifically the rise of the National Socialist Party (Nazi) (although not mentioned in game but are known as The Brown Shadow). Please ensure you read ahead in the walkthrough before carrying out in-game tasks since some actions have caveats (which are denoted via asterisk (*)), and therefore have consequences should you not read the addendums first and cause yourself to miss something in the game. For the purposes of clarity, I played the game using an Xbox Series X and the game itself is the disc version of the Special Edition. However, there is a chapter select, so no achievement should be missable, but you may find yourself having to replay multiple chapters depending on what you missed, so please do pay attention to the walkthrough in order to not miss anything and complete all the achievements in one playthrough. This game has a generous checkpoint system which can either work for or against you depending on if you miss things the first time around and therefore cant reload previous save data. The graphics are much improved and the level of detail in the characters and locales are amazing. The game should take roughly 15 hours for one full playthrough. It is probably more of a walking simulator with light exploration and puzzle elements. It is a much more streamlined game that won't present any overt challenge, and the game is all the better for it in my opinion, considering how beautiful the story and score (by Inon Zur) is to experience. This game is essentially a Point-and-Click adventure game much like the previous games however, unlike the previous iterations, this game is more heavily focused on narrative storytelling over arbitrarily pointing and clicking to try and piece together some mind-bending obscure puzzle. This is by far the most poignant coming-of-age story I have experienced in a long time and was highly captivated by it. I am a big fan of the Syberia series, so I'm privileged to bring this guide to you for Syberia: The World Before. Welcome weary traveler to my very first walkthrough.
